“Perhaps more importantly, Perry’s friend, former chief of staff Mike Toomey, spun through the revolving door to become a lobbyist for Merck in Texas, a position he held at the time of the HPV-related executive order.

For instance, drug-maker Novartis Pharmaceuticals has also contributed handsomely to the Republican Governors Association and it has also benefited from Perry’s support. Novartis has donated $700,000 to the RGA since January 2006, although it has only directly donated $5,000 to Perry’s own campaign. In 2009, Perry signed a bill into law mandating meningitis vaccines for all college students, a requirement he expanded again earlier this year.”

And after that he goes on about praying for the people of Russia and the evil communists. You can watch the rest of it below if you want, but the point I am raising here is that these people are all advocates that:
You are not supposed to love your children more than God and, if they (the children) are not going to believe in God then their lives have less value.

What to Do About Lying
A primary rule for parents when dealing with lying is don’t badger or corner children! Imagine you give a child the third degree about whether or not he has homework. He denies it six times and finally, after your seventh question, he admits that he has some. What has happened? By this time, of course, you are furious. More important, however, you also have given your child six times to practice lying! You may think to yourself, “Sooner or later he’ll realize he can’t fool me and he’ll give up.” Wrong. Many children will continue to take the easy way out: they will simply attempt to become better liars.
Either You Know the Truth or You Don’t
Look at it this way: you either know the truth or you don’t. If you don’t know what is going on, ask once and don’t badger. It’s a good idea here not to ask “impulsively”. Many kids simply respond back impulsively. They lie, but their real desire is just to end the conversation, get rid of you, and stay out of trouble.
If you are going to ask, you might say something like, “I want you to tell me the story of what happened, but not right now. Think about it a while and we’ll talk in fifteen minutes.” If he tells you the story and you find out later that the child lied, punish him for whatever the offense was as well as for the lie. No lectures or tantrums. Deal with the problem and try to fix things—as much as you can— so that lying does not seem necessary to the child.
If you do know what has happened, tell him what you know and deal with it. If he has done something wrong that you know about, simply punish him reasonably for that and end the conversation with, “I’m sure you’ll do better next time.”

Keep Your Perspective
Some parents still prefer to ask a child what happened—even when they already know what it was. This is OK if you do it right. You should say something like, “I got a call from the school today about an incident at lunch. I’m going to ask you to tell me the story, but not right now. I want you to think about it for a while, and then when you’re ready you can tell me, but remember I already pretty much know what happened.”
Lying is not good, but it certainly isn’t the end of the world either. It happens from time to time. It doesn’t mean that your kids don’t love you or that they are bound to grow up to become professional criminals. Over the years, however, frequent emotional overreactions on your part —combined with badgering and cornering— can produce an Accomplished Liar.

I wish I recorded this. I cannot find it online anywhere! But even still, Teletoon will understand what I am talking about, and I sent this to every teletoon email address on their site.
It’s 9:49pm Friday April 22nd 2011 and I am sitting here with 3 kids watching Futurama, on Teletoon (ch45). Viewer discretion is advised for the program so Teletoon has met their legal obligations with respect to the program. Congrats, well done. But what I have not seen is a warning with regards the Teletoon promo spots they’re running, and that’s what I’m writing about.
A moment ago when the program ended and the commercial break began, the first promo to run before the commercials subliminally instructed the viewers to watch porn online.
The viewer discretion notice mentioned above stated that viewers should be over 14 years old. It would seem that someone in their programming department is completely retarded because porn is very obviously intended for, and marketed to, people over 18. That point should be enough right there, but it gets worse.
The Teletoon promo featured an excited narrator informing and instructing viewers about the Teletoon promo – the point of which was lost on me because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing at that moment. In addition to the voice there was animated text appearing and disappearing on the screen. When the narrator instructed viewers to go online the words “WATCHING PORN ONLINE” appeared in a sentence, in black text. Then the word porn was circled in red and crossed out.
As an adult I understand the potential message: “what I am saying is better than porn online, which is what you use the internet for anyways.” Or something to that effect. Or, I am completely wrong. Regardless, the text on the screen should not have appeared when the audience was expected to be at least 14 years old. In fact, considering Teletoon draws primarily youths, it should not have appeared at all.
Fortunately for me, the children who were with me did not pay any attention to it as far as I could determine. Had they noticed or asked me what that porn word was, I would be in a less than favourable situation because, how do you answer that without lying to them, yet satisfying the question to a point where they drop it right there?
No one can reason, to any intelligent person, that they honestly believe that’s the right message to display, or that they don’t think the kids are going to google that word.
We must come to the realization that there is a difference between Right and Wrong. It is obvious that society in North America has lost this understanding, and those remaining who respect it are not aggressive enough to give it traction.

If you choose not to vaccinate/immunize your child the government will enforce the “Immunization of School Pupils Act, 1990” (Ontario, Canada) on your child and you will then have to make a choice: to either inject your children, or to get this document (below) signed and become legally exempt.
Forced medication of anyone in North America is illegal. It violates both the US and Canadian Constitutions and is a Human Rights violation as well. It’s a Nazi tactic and there’s no way to argue that anyone (of sound-mind) should be forcefully medicated.
For a long time my children were vaccinated and I even fought with their mother about it. One time I angrily scolded her for not knowing what she is talking about because she didn’t go to Doctor-school so how could she possibly argue against a Doctor. Man, I feel like a total idiot now. She was completely right. It took me far too long to even consider looking at the facts and idea that vaccinations are not good for anyone, but this post is not here to explain those details. Parents’ Place, Dr. Mercola’s site and countless other sites and resources are out there to counter the propaganda your TV, Doctors and Politicians have been feeding us.
Part of the problem we face as parents is the lack of available choices available to us. We did not know that we could choose NOT to vaccinate. They (the medical community/government) NEVER EVER tell you about the option NOT to vaccinate. We were delighted when we finally discovered this option, and we enforced our right to say now immediately. Our children are now legally exempt from immunizations and vaccinations. You can do the same.
